Disclaimer
What this site is for, what it is not for, and where the real authority sits.
Read this first if you read nothing else
Always verify final information with the official provider before you act on it. Scholarship deadlines, award values, eligibility rules, visa requirements and fee levels change without notice and are set by the awarding body or government — never by us. Every page here links to the official source. When the two disagree, the official source is right.
General information only
ScholarBrief publishes general educational information. It is written for a broad audience of applicants and students, and it cannot take account of your nationality, immigration status, finances, academic record, disability, family circumstances or the specific requirements of the institution or programme you are dealing with. It is not personalised advice and must not be treated as a substitute for it.
Reading this site does not create any adviser, agent or professional relationship between you and us. See our terms and conditions.
Scholarship and funding information
Our scholarship profiles describe how programmes are structured and how their application processes work. They deliberately do not publish award amounts, closing dates or eligibility thresholds as standalone facts, because those fields change every cycle and a third-party copy of them goes stale silently. That is the single most common way education websites cause real harm to students.
What this means for you in practice:
- The Last verified date on a profile records when we last checked our text against the provider’s live guidance. It is not a guarantee that nothing has changed since.
- A programme may close, be suspended, be restructured or change its eligibility rules at any time, including between our verification date and your visit.
- Being eligible under our description does not make you eligible under the provider’s current rules. Only the provider decides that.
- We have no involvement in any selection process and cannot advance, support or enquire about your application.
No financial advice
Content about student loans, grants, budgeting, banking, credit and repayment is general information about how those systems work. It is not regulated financial advice, is not a personal recommendation, and does not consider your financial situation. We are not authorised or regulated as financial advisers in any jurisdiction. Before making a borrowing or repayment decision, consult your institution’s student finance office, the loan administrator, or a qualified financial professional in your country.
No immigration or legal advice
Content about student visas, permits, work rights and document legalisation is general background about how those routes are structured. It is not immigration advice. Giving immigration advice is a regulated activity in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and elsewhere, and we are not authorised to give it. Immigration rules change frequently, are applied literally, and vary by nationality and personal history.
For anything that affects a visa application, rely on the government source for the route and, where the stakes justify it, a regulated adviser: an OISC-regulated adviser or solicitor in the UK, a registered migration agent or legal practitioner in Australia, an RCIC or lawyer in Canada, and a licensed attorney or accredited representative in the United States. Your institution’s international student office is a good first stop and is usually free.
No admissions guarantees
Nothing on this site predicts or improves your probability of an offer, an award or a visa. We do not publish acceptance rates, chance calculators or admissions predictions, and we would encourage scepticism about any site that does. Selection decisions belong entirely to institutions and awarding bodies applying criteria we do not see.
Accuracy and completeness
We research from primary official sources, check every factual claim a second time before publishing, and re-verify time-sensitive pages on a rolling schedule. Errors still occur. Content is provided without warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.
If you find something wrong, please tell us — our corrections policy explains how, and corrections are the most useful message we receive.
External links
We link to government departments, scholarship commissions, universities, examination boards and other organisations. We do not control those sites, are not responsible for their content or availability, and their inclusion is not an endorsement of anything beyond the specific information referenced. Links are direct, with no redirect or tracking wrapper, so you can always see where you are going.
Links can rot. If one on this site is broken or now points somewhere unexpected, report it.
Advertising and third-party content
This site is funded by advertising. Advertisements are supplied by third-party networks, are labelled, and are separated from editorial content. We do not choose or endorse individual advertisements, and any transaction with an advertiser is between you and them. No advertiser has any influence over editorial content — see the editorial policy.
Fraud warning
ScholarBrief will never ask you for money or documents
We do not charge for scholarship information, application assistance, document review or listings. We never request payment, banking details, passport scans, identity documents or passwords. Genuine scholarship providers do not charge application fees or require payment to release an award. If anyone contacts you claiming to be ScholarBrief and asks for any of those things, it is not us — report it and read how to spot a scholarship scam.
Currency, jurisdiction and translation
We cover systems in several countries and the same word can mean different things in each — “college”, “grade”, “grant”, “public school” and “tuition” are all traps. We flag these where they matter, but you should confirm that a page applies to your jurisdiction before relying on it. Where we mention money at all, we do so without quoting figures; any currency conversion you make is your own and rates move.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScholarBrief accepts no liability for loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, this site or anything linked from it — including a missed deadline, an unsuccessful or ineligible application, a refused visa, or a financial loss. The full limitation is set out in our terms and conditions.
